About the Journal

ASEAN Journal of Science and Engineering (AJSE) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by the School of Postgraduate Studies, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. The journal provides a platform for researchers to share advances in scientific knowledge, engineering methods, and technological applications. While AJSE has a particular interest in research relevant to ASEAN, it welcomes contributions from authors worldwide.

AJSE publishes original research articles and substantive review articles across the natural sciences, applied sciences, and engineering. Its scope includes, but is not limited to, materials science, energy systems, environmental science and engineering, artificial intelligence, computer science, agriculture, infrastructure, and emerging technologies. The journal also welcomes interdisciplinary studies that combine scientific and engineering approaches to address complex problems.

AJSE seeks manuscripts that make a clear contribution to their field. Research articles should present a well-defined question, appropriate methods, and findings that extend current knowledge or improve established approaches. Review articles should offer a critical synthesis of the literature and identify useful directions for future research. For studies focused on a particular location, system, or application, authors should explain how their findings can inform research or practice beyond that immediate setting.

The journal aims to connect fundamental research with practical challenges, including sustainable development, resilient infrastructure, responsible technological innovation, and the changing needs of industry and society. By making its content openly accessible, AJSE supports the exchange of knowledge among researchers, engineers, and practitioners across regions and disciplines.

AJSE publishes three issues per year.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
